Payton, a male Akita, is approximately two years old. He is currently at the McHenry County Animal Control in Woodstock, IL. His former owners relinquished him while choosing to keep their other two dogs (both Chows). Since being in the facility, Payton has been wonderful. He is brushed every day and is gentle and sweet. He was recently 'introduced' to other dogs, cats, and a bunny at the shelter and showed no signs of aggression. (He seemed a little 'scared' of the cat). Payton would make a great pet for an experienced Akita owner. His current caretaker, Becky, is willing to drive nearly anywhere to deliver him to a new loving home.
