Max is a 6 year-old male taken in from the Amish puppy mill auction in Thorp Wisconsin on March 10, 2007. He has had a behavioral assessment with no food bowl or resource guarding issues and displays positive interactions with both people and other dogs. Max has completed his course of Lyme treatment and has been neutered. He underwent a dental cleaning thanks to an anonymous donor. Max walked with an irregular gait and underwent a veterinary assessment to evaluate his hips. Since then, he has not had any further problems develop. In fact, he has learned to run and jump and twist and play!  He has a spring in his step and a cute little “prance” that he does when trotting along side at playtime. He is making progress on housetraining and would most likely just need a little guidance in a new home. He is spunky and happy and is loving life—now he just needs someone to share his life with.
